Hi folks,

This blog is the online home of me, Ed Wright, a postgraduate student at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland, UK. I have moved up here from London, where I had a job and a steady income, to do an MSc in Arab World Studies. It’s harder work than the job, and they aren’t paying me! However, it is also very interesting, as you might expect.

I’ll be writing about my experiences of being a student again, my course and what it’s like living in a new city, with new faces and new places. I hope you find the articles interesting, maybe even entertaining, and feel free to leave a comment if you’d like.
